The International Legal System

Coherence of a set of norms in any legal system is a function of their justifiability under higher order principles. It's a coherence formed of sovereign will and not imposed upon it. International law must accommodate interests and objectives that are capable of conflicting. Yet, it does presuppose a concept of what allowed about called an international community from which community interests may be identified.
