The Relationship Between Humans and the Honeyguides
A study by the University of California at Berkeley found that hummingbirds do consume alcohol. The research was conducted with Anna's hummingbirds out in California. They were tested to see if there was any impact on their frequency of visits to have a drink. And what they ended up discovering was that from 1-2% alcohol, the hummingbirds didn't seem to be consuming much more than regular sugar water.
