The Role of Fever in Catheter-Associated Bacteria

There was, there's been a lack of association between fever and catheter-associated bacteria. In less than 2% had a temperature over 38. The incidence of a febrile episode of possible urinary origin was 1.1 cases per 100 patient days of catheterization. So kind of thinking that most fever episodes will result spontaneously and they were not due to the bacteria in the urine.
