The Fall of Paris by Alister Horn

On september twentieth, 18 70, literally the ame day the germans finished enveloping paris, the armies of the kingdom of italy captured rome and made it their capital. The tireless republican revolutionary giuseppe garibaldi then immediately turned around and volunteered for service in france. He wound up leading an army of about a thousand men but he would never really get to play an active role in the franco prussian war.
