The Blue Ocean Opportunity

Successful corporations which don't find new Blue Ocean opportunities and reinvent themselves will sooner or later lose their market positions. Henry Ford identified a Blue Ocean opportunity when he introduced the Model T, the first mass-produced car for the average person. The US automobile industry has seen plenty of rises and falls and may be disrupted again with the rise of electric and autonomous vehicles. It's hard for any one company in any industry to continually come up with products that create blue ocean markets.
