History of the Second World War: Part 3, Justifiable Bad Choices. Polish leaders understood that in a war with either of their larger neighbors they would be in a difficult situation. The survival of Poland was heavily dependent on the actions of allies due to the importance of allied action. After we discuss the Polish plans of national defense, the back half of this episode will cover some of the military planning that would occur between the Polish military and primarily the French military in the years before the war.
