How Did the Green Revolution Start?
There was a preconceived notion that green revolution is suitable where it's not the fact that the politics also played a big role. I think once green rev an technologies became embedded, we also had those farmer lobbies, which were quite strong in panja and elsewhere. Most of the state governments ere always belonged to the opposition party, compared to who was in power in the centre. So i think all of those reasons, but the central reason, i feel that the farmer voices eastern india have not been enough, strongly represented. These are really small farmers.
