The Passover and the Passover Feast
The temple was completed around 70 years after the first temple had been destroyed by nebuchadnezzar. Hezekiah and josiah's contributions of animals in second chronicles also dwarfed those given here. Perhaps a particularly interesting detail is that they offer for all israel 12 male goats. This evidences their continued sense of themselves as the 12 tribes. Everything culminates in a joyous celebration of the passover and the feast of unleavened bread. The author of this section is likely different from that of the aromaic section, and not merely on account of the language change.
