I do believe there is a value in the metaverse, but I'm not sure if it's good for humanity. Facebook could do it from his basement by building a website and coding. Here, he needs to invest in technology. He really needs to push the boundaries of technology. And that comes with such a high upfront investment. It's almost like he's pulling off an ASML with the risk behind it.
