What's the Proof of the Odeafs?
The Odeafs and PGII are new vehicles that the Chinese are using. It comes at the same time as the US and the Europeans are launching new initiatives of their own. The proof will be in the pudding, right? Since Janet Yellen has been in Africa, we didn't see discussion of Ghana's debt situation. Where do those bondholders live? Where do they reside? Which policymakers have the power of carrots and sticks to bring them to the table? Primarily Paris Club countries. But that's going to take actual action on the part of US and other G20 governments.
