The book was written by a Catholic sort of monastic man who pretended to be Saint Albert the Great. It contains this whole diatribe against menstruation, and it really picks up on the Christian myth that a menstruating woman is dirty or defiling. And fake news albertus decided that it was his job to warn men everywhere that if they had sex with a woman while she was menstruating, that she would very likely perform some sort of deceitful act upon him.
