Is There a Pattern?

People were surprised there was a pattern, and they weren't really believing it. So maybe we have this sort of mechanism of not trusting seeing a pattern because we know that wer we have the preconceptions of indin patterns anywhere. I actually, i think, because of this enthusiasm for probability and randomness and all that, ii've never wanted there to be patterns where they don't really belong. It's a kind of special kind of pattern. The more you dig into the pattern, the more emerges from it. And in fact, the distance around the coast line can vary in terms of thousands of kilometers, similly, on borders between countries.
