How to Write a Novel About a Major Transition in Life
I was lucky in that i knew exactly what i wanted to do, and i was a i hadn't done enough. There's something that happens to people when confronted with a major transition or major thing. I think one of the reasons this character has resignated is because i put so much of the emotion and the feelings behind what i was involved with down range into a completely fictional narrative. But the other side is that the character is going on a journey, and it's not just the same character each in every book,. He's evolving, learning, adapting, growing, just like we all are. We're all on this journey.
