Stoney Island by Andrew Davis

Andrew Davis' first feature film as a director was the 1978 semi-biographical pictures Stoney Island based on a south side neighborhood which stars his real-life brother Richie. The package from 1989 shot here in Chicago included scenes shot around the city and suburbs standing in for places such as Germany Washington DC and Arlington Virginia. Andrew Davis's film resume includes other film shot in Chicago including 1985's Code of Silence with Chuck Norris, 1990s action thriller chain reaction released in 1996 although not a hit at the box office or with critics it does feature some cool mid 1990s shots of Chicago.
