Is It Lineage Based?

There are traditional lineages in india, and then there's modernized india. In those traditions, they do not teach white people. They do not teach non brahmins. And i's very uncommon of the more traditional linages to let a white person in. My teacher is ah, he he was brought up in that way. But then for is his university, his father sent him to south india. He wouldn't even teach a south indian what they knowb because they're considered so different than their own lineage.
