The New Approach to Biblical Interpretation

Mina Mio: I've grown dissatisfied with the conception that i inherited and was taught, that we seek the historical meaning and then make contemporary applications. The people of god invite scripture into our midst to let it do its work,. To let it reorder things, to let it re interpret our community dynamics. In the way that we see the world. We don't sort of target scripture. And we certainly target the world with the bible, or other people with the Bible, or one another with the bible. U as the study of the bible went into the universities and um elightenment values took over, scholars were studying biblical texts divorced from christian tradition.
