A lot of libertarians just love the fourteenth amendment because they believe it gives jures a mechanism for striking down state laws that they find to be unfriendly to liberty. But i don't know very many federal judges, let alone supreme court justices throughout history, who are very libertarian at all. So when a court is going to set and incorporate the bill of rights against the states and start striking down state law, i don't see it doing it in ways that are friendly toward libertarian views. Ogt not inot to be very contrary to libritaring, at a fundamental level, it is all about centralizing power and concentrating power rather than dispersing our diffusing power.
