The Social Determinants of Gun Violence Research
The Dickey amendments that called for not being able to use federal funds to advocate for gun control. That dampened research efforts significantly because there were no federal funds available. Now, most recently, a relative increase in interest with the federal government now funding gun firearm-related research,. And we are in fact having a major research conference in Washington, D.C., in late November, early December.
