Using a Harpoon to Capture Satellite Debris

In 2021, an organization called AstroScale is trying to send something up into space with like a mock piece of space junk that it releases. The attempt is supposed to catch back up and use this type of technology to capture the debris. But as we're talking about sending tens of thousands of additional satellites up into space, these collisions are beginning to happen. No one really knows if or when there will be a big tipping point of cascading collisions that would bring the Kessler's engine to fulfillment.
