I should also say, of course, the Republican Party on this issue is a lost cause. Some of the key major Democratic donors who give huge amounts of money are very hard line pro-Israel Zionists. The idea of rich Jews pulling the strings has a long and obviously grim history. That's how political parties make decisions for the good or the bad,. in this case, obviously for the bad. But I think the American politics itself, the Republicans, most of which are hard-right Christians, they have a reason for their support of Israel because it's all something in a book of revelations.
