Are You Counting People in a Network?

If there is someone who gets shot just as a an accident, or, you know, as an innocent bystander during a robbery, they would still count as in your network. So if you rob a bank with someodei's probably not a stranger. Is probably somebody you know. But we don't have that information. At a minimum, we have we were connected at least once, sometimes more than once. But we're probably underestimating behaviour. And of course, most incidents never get reported to the police a to begin with. Our estimates are extremely conservative.
