St Augustine, Plato, Sigmund Freud and Mahatma Gandhi are the four great authors you talk about in your new book A.N.A.C. So why these four? It was actually hard deciding what four authors have wanted to showcase in making the case for liberal education. Those four rose to the top because for idiosyncratic, sometimes accidental reasons, I happened to read them at decisive pivotal points in my life. They had an outsized impact in the way that I thought about myself and the way that he approached the world.
