Mark Wright's father was called Adolph when he first arrived in Britain. His landlady told him to change his name from 'Ralph' to 'Adolph' He always said that his mother had a sort of flyer fancy for the name, but it wasn't much of a defense. Ed is talking to me remotely so I don't know if Mark will be hit or not. But hopefully you'll get some sympathy from the listener too.
