Is Confucius Authority Claiming the Authority of the Great Sages?

Claiming confuciuss authority is also implicitly claiming the sage king's authority, right? This is not just what confucius thought about it. This is what ya and shun thought about it, because confucius really merely transmitted the that way. So we can say that han and the gu on revival, they were examples of this idea of ephnocised orthodoxy. A being an orthodox confucian is chinese. Not being that therefore is to be not chinese, or to be going the way of the barbarian. That's essentially the argument that's been made with that way of framing a no chineseness.
