The first prayer of the day is before sunrise. The second prayer is around noon, and then there are four prayers in the evening. When you come back up, you express your greeting towards God by channeling your prayers to him. You reiterate the shahada, which is the first pillar of Islam,. I testify that there's only one God and His messenger: Muhammad.
