The Hot, Cold, Ympathy Gap

The title and chorus always struck with me, becausethe i think i've mentioned on the show before, because it often ends up matching up with the realities of human cognition. It certainly relates to the topic were gan to be talking about to day, which is a framework that is known as the hot, cold, ympathy gap. And it has to do not just with fear, but with a host of other emotions and vicerale motivating states: anger, joy, disgust, thirst, hunger, pain, sexual arousal fatigue and so forth.
