How I Singed in a Soul Band
I started out playing and playing piano as a kid. I played banjo by ear, just to back up my father when he sang,. you know, in saloons and stuff. And then I went to just singing with the soul band. It was like a 13-piece soul band. We had six Orrins. But we couldn't make any money, you know. So that was, you know, the only way we could afford to operate like that.
