We can start small and build the practice over time, slowing down a little bit here. As our nervous system shifts more into its rest and digest state, our breathing and heart rat slow down. Our stress hormones decrease, while our happy hormos increase. Eventually, our bodies will remember the rhythms they know, and we will be able to settle down.
