Pink Noise Is Not White Noise
Chris Winter: Pink noise does not have equal signal intensity across the spectrum. He says it is giving a lot more intensity to lower frequencies and much less to higher frequencies. And could that potentially be something that lends itself to memory loss or at least less cognitive adaptivity flexibility as we get older? Chris Winter: There were studies from the 2010-2015 sort of time period that showed people who were listening to pink noise got a little bit more deep sleep, maybe even improved memory in some older individuals.
