DevOps: A Philosophical Question

Conway: DevOps to me is more like a philosophy, right? It's a state of mind. And I do think it's a spectrum. So if your org is centralized and you have a lot of users that have different expectations for their compute systems, they're probably going to have a more centralized platform. Maybe you're not going to have Dev Ops folks necessarily living on each of those teams, but it may be more cost effective for you to centralize those that talent to build a platform. But the capabilities don't really change when you're talking about platform engineering or Dev ops.
