Academia's Role in Decolonization

This chapter explores the role of academia in the decolonization movement, questioning its confinement to theoretical discourse and elite spaces. It discusses the limitations of theory and the retreat into reforming institutions, specifically in relation to the national liberation of Palestine. The chapter also touches on the resistance against colonialism in Portuguese colonies and the concept of progressive nationalism in African national liberation struggles.
