The Importance of Inflammation in Chronic Diseases

Omega-6 is not all just pure inflammation. It's the signaling in the action of the immune system to bring us back to homeostasis. Eating too much processed food or really eating too much food, that is inflammatory. Another way that inflammation crops up in chronic diseases is diabetes. Diabetes is a disease of energy excess. Basically there's too much energy calories coming into the system and nowhere to put them. That trigger is not going to go away because we continue to have too much excess energy coming in and therefore the inflammation continues.
