Is There a Comparative Approach to Cloud Platforms?

The infrastructure level has matured significantly in the last 10 to 12 years. You have so many tools and platforms that you can kind of put together and start running with versus needing to build them from scratch. It's not trivial to move to these kind of off-the shelf products, right? But I think this is the case with many kind of in-house platforms. Once you build them, they're typically where to stay.
