The US Airstrikes in Somalia
The al-Shabaab attack was launched on Friday in a targeted and army base in a town about 75 miles southwest of Mogadishu. The assault started with suicide car bombings followed by an intense firefight. Uganda's president has acknowledged that there were casualties, but he did not say how many were killed or wounded. And the strike was the second reported by Afrikam in Somalia in the month of May.
