Congressman Ted Lu said there needs to be an agency dedicated specifically to regulating AI. I think people like us that are creating these very powerful systems that could become something properly called AGI at some point. Those efforts probably do need a new regulatory effort and I think it needs to be global body, a regulatory body, and then having existing industry regulators still do their regular business. Who should head that agency in the US? I don't know. But enough already a point. Somebody get the commission going. Have it be ground up. Start with people who have technology backgrounds. We've been here before and we always get our hearts broken.
