Is There a 60 Day Grace Period for Layoffs in Tech?

20 to 30% of laid-off tech workers are on some sort of non-immigrant work visa. They haven't gotten a green card yet, and they're somewhere in the process. Some employers have started waking up to this immigration reality,. I am starting to see more compassion in the layoff process for non-immigrants.
