History Has a Side
Asimov and all the science fiction magazines are one of the reasons the boomers are the way they are. They were inculcated with a worldview that is out of fiction. I don't know that history has a side. That doesn't make sense to me. It's the working out of freedom over history. You can't stop it. You can only be on its side or not on its side. The word good is defined in the beginning of the Nicomachean ethics as that at which all things aim. In other words, the good is the final cause. So if you say that history, you want to be on the right side of history? Isn't that
