The Importance of Non-Verbal Communication in Emergency Care
The social worker would have been running between Sally and the ED manager just saying this is where I'm at. This is what we're needing to keep her here for these reasons. She was able to pull out some points so that really pointed to the fact that this, the violence in this relationship was becoming quite dangerous. One of the things that Sally said and shared with us was that she had been strangled. Now in an emergency department when we hear that now, the lethality measure in our head just goes through the roof. But we also have to let doctors know about that because there are a series of tests that need to take place to check on Sally's health. And that also
