The Importance of Collaboration in the Study of ADHD

Dr. Gregory Fabiano: I'm delighted to be here and we have a lot of ground to cover, so I'll just launch right in. We've known for a long time ADHD is characterized by these developmental and appropriate levels of inattention, overactivity and impulsivity. In effect, a whole lot of effort has been dedicated towards identifying those symptoms or whether they're occurring at developmental andappropriate levels. But it's really the areas of impairment, academic underachievement, problems in social relationships with peers or teachers, low self-esteem that are drivers of negative long term outcomes.
