What Do Humans Need?

In his grandfather's time, HR was almost to protect the company from employees. In a labor market like I don't know today, where talent is super tight, you can't run a business denying humans the individualized attention that they need. The fundamental mission of HR has got to be, how can we help this company or organization deserve the best people?
