The Descriptive Side of Personality

A lot of studies are not really putting prediction to its proper test. I do think we will have to see to which extend the our claims that personality predicts a lot of things survives these more rigorous tests. Yes, personality might be a good predictor, but maybe it's not as powerful as people would like it to be for their applications and so on. So I'm somewhat more skeptical on the prediction side.
