The Positive Effects of Tithing on the Church
LZ Granderson: Tithing and investment returns from enzyme peak are not used for humanitarian purposes historically. He says members give more above and beyond tithing to fast offerings, which help people inside of the church who struggle financially. LZ: Fast offerings use money for internal welfare purposes; aid is sent out as a pass-through through LDS charities. "I think it's important to kind of think of this at a high level, like what is it that's guiding them," he says.
