Inhaled Induction - What's Happening in a Right to Left Shut?
Right to left shunt slows inhaled induction more for poorly soluble anesthetics. Left to right shunt has very little effect on the rate of induction in IV inductions. Blood, you inject propofol into the blood, just bypasses the lungs and goes straight to the brain. That's going to make it faster.
