There are at least 12 modifiable risk factors that we do know account for at least 40% of dementia and that range from everything from smoking to physical activity, social isolation. Even things like structural racism have been shown to be contributing to long-term dementia. Hearing aids lead to a 19% decrease in kind of decline over a two to five year period.
