The Importance of Context in Calculating Pi
When it's math and you have multiple ways of getting there, one of them may be better for some circumstances. That doesn't mean that just because someone who arrived from a different planet is using that, for instance. The inferior method still gets there. It gets there slower. So maybe there are yet more ways to calculate pi. And if the aliens happened to use one of the ones that we use, that does not mean right away, ah, well, they got here, therefore they're better, therefore it's best.
