McCarthy said on Monday that he is confident that the negotiations won't cost him the speakership. He thinks this is a good strong bill that a majority of Republicans will support. There are already starting to be rumblings from some conservatives that they will see what they can do about that. How he plays this over the next couple of days is going to be very critical to how he manages the threats from the right.
