The Role of Bradykinin in Angioedema
Angioedema sounds like it's a bit of a transient subcutaneous or sub mucosal swelling that importantly you said is non-pitting when pressure is applied. It can last from hours to days and the important thing is to work out what the underlying mechanism is. When I think it's due to bradykinin then those things aren't going to work that we're used to giving. So not the adrenaline, not the peritone, not the steroids. We've got to think about those other evidence-light treatments such as cheap and readily accessible TXA but they'll be difficult to get hold of.
