The Dangers of Language Models
Chat GPT is a statistical model that can generate language based on patterns it has seen before. So you can think of it as a huge parrot that has listened to millions of conversations and very good at repeating things or making noises without having the faintest clue of what these noises actually mean. I don't think there's a big danger that these language models will develop pathos or, or an internal will to, to destroy mankind. The big danger lies in people using these language models to do smart things.
