Orelian entered antioch unchallenged, and was greeted by a citizen body prepared for the worst. But again, orelian proved to be of a much higher mind than any one gave him credit for. In the battle that followed, arelian once again attempted to lure the palmyrins out with a fake retreat. But this time his lines came too close to the palmirines, and the chase was over before it got going. The roman ranks, infantry and cavalry alike, were soon engulfed in bloody confusion.
