Is There a Need to Get Rid of Capitalism?
In the mid 2000s Andrew Hacker did a study of racial attitudes and he reached the conclusion that only a small percentage of white Americans still retained overtly racist attitudes something like 15 percent. In my view it's psychologically dysfunctional and unhealthy for society to sort of like dwell on victimization as constitutive of the self. On the other hand there is a subpopulation that was systematically victimized by American society and so the question is always how do we maintain a balance where we preserve the integrity of the institutions that are valuable?
